We keep eligibility free because most nonprofits never apply for security funding they're entitled to, and we want to fix that.

In two situations. If something went wrong on our end — the charge went through but the writer didn't unlock, or the AI failed to produce your draft — email hello@securitygrants.com any time and we'll put it right or refund you in full. And if you change your mind before using it: email within 48hours of purchase, as long as you haven't generated a draft, and we'll refund the full purchase price ($29today). Once the writer has produced your draft it has delivered what you paid for, so we don't refund after that — except where the law requires. Refunds go back to your card through Stripe and usually show up within 5–10 business days.

The answers you give the eligibility assistant map against the eligibility rules for each grant in our catalog (currently 24 programs — federal NSGP-UA and NSGP-S, plus state and district programs in AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, ME, MD, MA, MN, NJ, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA). Those rules come straight from each grant's public program documents, and the eligibility decision is computed by the same rules engine the site has always used — the assistant just collects your answers, it doesn't guess.

The assistant only asks about hard eligibility gates — state, 501(c)(3) status, the type of threat your organization faces, and a few state-specific rules (e.g., whether you've already received a state security grant this fiscal year, in NJ). Give your best answer — you can start over anytime. Questions about things you can change — SAM.gov registration, a threat assessment — come later in the AI grant-writing assistant, so they don't block you from seeing what you qualify for.
